My journey in sports has always been about more than just playing. After years on the field, I found myself drawn to the behind-the-scenes world, heavily investing my time in volunteering. I've coached football, dedicated hours to football leagues, and currently serve as both Media Officer and Secretary for the Bury & North Manchester Referees' Association. And yes, this is all outside of my full-time career in marketing!

Throughout these experiences, I consistently tried to integrate technology wherever possible. That's when I uncovered a significant challenge for grassroots sports organisations: high costs. Websites alone can be expensive, and when you pile on membership systems, player subs, and other essential tools, annual expenses skyrocket. This revelation sparked an idea: how could I simplify this for clubs, leagues, and associations? My solution is to leverage Wix to create and host your website, developing a bespoke solution that perfectly fits your needs. Whether you're a club seeking a simple online presence or a league requiring a comprehensive system to manage clubs and teams, I've got you covered.

Two projects truly stand out in showcasing my capabilities: the Bury & North Manchester RA website and the Greater Manchester Women's Football League (GMWFL) website. Both are equipped with complex, tailored features designed to meet the unique demands of each organisation. After building the GMWFL website and moving on from my role there in 2025, it became even clearer: there's a vital need for affordable, cutting-edge technology in grassroots sports.

This realisation led me to create Grassroots Technologies. My aim is simple: to provide grassroots sports organisations with advanced, bespoke websites and technological solutions that are not only powerful but also easily managed.
